I’m very sorry to announce that this website is going to be on hiatus for about three weeks.
I’m currently in the last few weeks of my degree and somehow there’s never enough time to finish work.
However, this website will be running in June 2012.
Sorry to postpone the date, but I need the website offline for the exam period
Thank you for all your support so far.
See you then.
Claudio Parentela is an Italian illustrator/painter/photographer/mail artist/cartoonist/collagist.
His clients include many European and American magazines and newspaper (editorial work mostly).
He has a very peculiar website, but I think it fits him very well.
Q: So what inspires you to do the images you do?
A: My changing moods….My obsessive thoughts…All the noises I’ve in mind…All my knots and my threads…My dreams….All the colours of my life.
Q: Is there a theme behind them, as a bigger image?
A: A big eye I dream since I was a child….Many faces with big eyes
I think he is absolutely brilliant, if you have to patience to find out more about him do go to his website.
Hansje van Halem is a dutch designer.
She graduated from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in 2003 and works as an indespendant graphic designer since.
She has great love for typography, book design and all other types of printed matter.
I love the way she makes her patterns, complicated yet soothing to look at.
“Patterns I make on the computer using Illustrator. How exactly: a process of trial and error. Finding a structure through a system. Looking for the right contrast. With the end goal in mind to make material out of paper and preferably make your eyes hurt.”
